One of my greatest inspirations in abstract painting is its unpredictability. I embrace spontaneity, allowing the process to unfold naturally. That’s why I never create preliminary sketches—I believe they take away from the immediacy of being fully present with the painting. Instead, I focus on selecting a color palette and envisioning the feeling I want the piece to convey. However, I remain open to change, letting the painting guide me. Some of my favorite works began as unintended mistakes, but with time and reflection, I discovered how to transform them into something beautiful and meaningful. Abstract art remains open to interpretation, allowing every viewer to discover their own meaning. While I embed intention into every piece, the beauty of abstraction lies in its ability to resonate differently with each individual. I prefer working with a restrained palette, exploring shades and transparencies of black, gray, ecru, and blue. This limited selection creates harmony between the diverse techniques, textures, and materials I experiment with, while also giving the artwork a refined, minimalist elegance that seamlessly integrates into modern interiors. Each canvas I use is carefully hand-stretched and prepared by me. I choose a specific type of cotton for its unique texture, grain, and color, which beautifully complements my primary palette and enhances the vibrancy of the paints. I also favor large-format pieces because of their immersive quality. These expansive canvases have the power to transform the energy of any space, creating an atmosphere that resonates deeply and feels alive.
